Turkish Intellectual Property Academy

Turkish Intellectual Property Academy is an institutional framework established to develop professional capacity and coordination in the field of intellectual property in Türkiye.

The Academy is responsible for organizing a wide range of activities, including theoretical and practical training programs, certification schemes, domestic internship programs, workshops, panels, conferences, and research initiatives. It also provides consultancy services and promotes cooperation at the national level. These activities aim to enhance the knowledge and skills of public and private sector professionals in line with international standards.

Institutionally, the Academy operates through a governing body (Executive Board) and designated training centers. These include the Copyright Training Center under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Industrial Property Training Center under Turkish Patent and Trademark Office. The Academy is jointly represented by co-chairs from these institutions, ensuring coordination between copyright and industrial property domains.

The Academy plays a key role in strengthening Türkiye’s intellectual property ecosystem by supporting education, research, certification, and institutional collaboration.
