The Turkish Plant Variety Office has announced its official schedule of fees for 2018. The new fee schedule was published on 17 January 2018 and applies to plant variety protection and related procedures before the Office.

In a separate notice, the Office reminded holders of registered plant variety rights of their obligation to pay the annual maintenance fees (annuities) for plant varieties registered in previous years.
According to the announcement, the annual fees must be paid by 31 January 2018, and proof of payment should be submitted to the Office. The Office has also published a list of registered plant varieties together with the corresponding annual fees payable for each registration.
The list of plant varieties and applicable annual fees can be downloaded from the Office’s website.
Plant variety right holders are advised to ensure that the required payments are completed within the prescribed period in order to maintain their rights in force.
